Neon Q&A: Behind the Scenes with Ariel
Get to know the squad behind our new stylish line of hair products: Neon. Here’s Ariel!
Boldest moment: I felt really bold when I got the call from my music manager to fly to Stockholm to live and record music for months. It was the first time I traveled so far by myself.
Favorite getting-ready song: "Maria" by Blondie or something by New Order or The Cure.
Favorite fashion piece: I am the biggest clothes hoarder on the face of the planet! I have a leather jacket that was given to me when I was six years old; it was massive on me. And now it's a perfectly cropped three-quarter jacket. No one ever believes me when I tell them it's a kid's jacket.
Fave stress-buster: I will usually blast a favorite song of the moment and jump around the room and scream the lyrics, or when I'm driving I'll turn the radio up very loud and sing.
On confidence: I think confidence comes from a place of doing what you love and being happy. Happiness shines through. And when you surround yourself with people who love you, that leads to confidence. I find that when I'm sad I get more insecure about things. But you can't be happy all the time.
Biggest fans: I have the most supportive family on the face of the planet; they make me feel like I can do anything.
For fun: I love playing my ukulele. And I'm always down for karaoke.
